Formulation of the problem for joint coding of a discrete source and a discretely continuous communication channel with varying parameters is considered. It is shown that the synthesis of the systems for joint coding of a discrete source and a discretely continuous communication channel is possible through solution of the problem of joint coding and modulation in the transmission path and solution of the problem of joint demodulation and adaptive compensation in the receiving path with the same constraints on signal assemblies at the output of a modulator and a demodulator, respectively.Solodovnikov I. Semiotic Foundations for Informatics and Its Elementary Technologies
By now, the conventional foundations for informatics have not established. It is connected not only to a relative youth of this fundamental area of knowledge, but also with its unique position in the system of modern scientific knowledge. This position is concerning the answer to the following question ≈ whether knowledge of the subject are self-identical during the different moments of time. Based on two approaches to definition of concept "sign" in semiotics ≈ linguistic and logical ≈ in the paper an attempt to consider the semiotic foundations for informatics is undertaken. In addition, definitions of its basic terms are formulated and the typology of the main classes of elementary technologies is offered. About an New Identity Based Signature Scheme from Bilinear Maps on Elliptic Curves
In identity-based cryptography public key can be an arbitrary string, and particular, a string that identifies the user who holds the associated private key, like his email address. In this paper we propose an identity-based signature scheme using pairings over elliptic curves. Security is based on Computational Diffie-Hellman problem. The Orthogonal Bin Packing Problem: a Numerical Experiment with Waste-Free Instances of E. Hopper
The problem instances of E. Hopper are waste-free, i. e., the optimal solution value is known. The number of items in the instances varies from 16 to 197. We applied several single-pass algorithms. For the single-pass algorithms, we retained the optimal order of items in the list in order to test their "correctness". Optimal solutions could be obtained by the following single-pass algorithms: "block construction", "substitution", and "double list".
